Man sentenced after admitting town assault
A thug who admitted assaulting another man during an attack in a Mid Wales town has been handed a community order.

John Pierre Williams, 34, of Lon Helyg, Newtown, appeared before Welshpool Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
He admitted assaulting Bradley Davies by beating him on April 21 in Newtown.
Williams was given a 12-month community order and ordered to carry out 60 hours of unpaid work.
He was also ordered to pay £85 costs and an £85 victim surcharge after admitting the charge of assault, a section five public order offence.
