Matthew Davies, of Woodyard Lane, Quatt, near Bridgnorth, was found not guilty at Shrewsbury Crown Court yesterday.
However, he was found guilty of perverting the course of justice by attempting to persuade a witness not to testify against him in court.
The 42-year-old, who is the sole share holder of Showtime Security, based in Craven Arms, was alleged to have hired out guards without an SIA license.
He said they were not working as security guards but as maintenance men, and therefore did not require a licence.
The case has been adjourned for sentencing on July 27.
