999 calls 16 per cent higher than same time last year
Emergency calls rose 16 per cent last weekend compared to the same time a year ago.
This included a 999 call from someone reporting that the Facebook app was not working on their phone.
West Mercia Police Operations and Communications Centre tweeted saying: "Please only call 999 if there is a genuine emergency, for less urgent call 101."
