Armed police surround Shrewsbury house in major operation
Armed police surrounded a property in Shrewsbury causing a road to be blocked off.
One resident said there were up to 20 armed officers surrounding the property, on Broughton Road, in Sundorne.
Police were seen at the house at about 6pm on Friday.
Armed officers closed the road and the house is currently being investigated.
It is not currently known why the officers were armed in the area.
West Mercia Police were contacted but declined to give any details due to an ongoing investigation.
