Shrewsbury man charged with possession of drugs
A Shrewsbury man has been charged with possessing Class A drugs.
Mark Spragg, 37, of Wingfield Close, was arrested near to the Dana Prison and Castle Walk in Shrewsbury on Tuesday.
West Mercia Police say they arrested a man and seized wraps of crack cocaine and heroin.
Spragg has been charged with possession with intent to supply Class A drugs. He was due to appear at Kidderminster Magistrates Court yesterday.
Detective Chief Inspector Mike Nally, said: "There is no place for serious and organised crime in our communities and we will do all we can to ensure we disrupt and dismantle the suspected criminal activity of anyone suspected of being involved."
The arrest comes as West Mercia focus their efforts on suspected serious and organised crime as part of their Protect scheme.
