Kieran Prime, 21, of Queens Flats, Oswestry, was charged following a raid in Oswestry earlier this month involving UK and American security services.

He recently appeared before Birmingham Magistrates Court, and was due to appear before crown court in Birmingham on Friday. He did not appear and his case was adjourned until November 16.

Armed police surrounded the Queens Flats on Oswald Road before arresting two people, a 21-year-old man and a 19-year-old woman on September 6.

The raid was part of a joint operation looking into the alleged movement of guns. It involved two US agencies, Homeland Security Investigations and the United States Postal Inspection Service.

Prime has been remanded in custody, and the woman arrested with him was been released under investigation.
