Stuart Dundas, of Vineyard Road in Wellington, was given a criminal behaviour order by magistrates at Telford Magistrates Court which stops him from entering the town centre area.

This comes after the police and local authority received numerous calls from members of the public about the 33-year-old's anti-social and intimidating behaviour which caused significant harassment, alarm and distress.

The force said despite offers of help and support to address his behaviour, Dundas continued to cause a nuisance.

The order means Dundas is banned from the town centre in Wellington and must not enter the exclusion zone except in a genuine life or death emergency.

The order also bans him from being drunk in a public place anywhere in Shropshire.

The two-year order will run until October 20, 2020 and means he cannot enter Queen Street, Church Street, Plough Road, King Street, Victoria Road, Wrekin Road and Bridge Road in Wellington.

PC Morgan of West Mercia Police, said: "I hope this order will offer the local community in Wellington some reprieve from Dundas' behaviour."
