Gary Lansdale raised £7,500 for Shrewsbury and Telford hospitals with a £10K run

Gary Lansdale decided to give away his pay to the charity after previously running a race for the cause.

He will donate the money in January.

Earlier in the year Gary ran the Market Drayton 10K in his police uniform, in support of friend Lisa McCallister.

At the time she was undergoing treatment for ovarian cancer at the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital, and he raised £7,500.

During his Boxing Day shift, Gary helped two confused elderly men, and a bereaved woman. He also arrested a man on suspicion of domestic violence.
