Police chief tweets thanks to officers in Shropshire
A police boss has paid thanks to the Shropshire officers who tracked down his sister's stolen car.
Chief Superintendent Tom Harding, of West Mercia Police, said officers in Shrewsbury and Telford did an "excellent job".
He took to Twitter on Saturday night to say thieves had stolen his sister's car off her driveway.
Just an hour later he said officers has pursued and located the car and added that the suspect was in custody.
He said: "Amazing police work located the vehicle and pursued it with support of excellent Telford Patrol and Shrewsbury Cops. Officers at my sister’s home doing an excellent job.
"West Mercia Operations & Communications Centre did a fantastic job managing this incident in various phases across various radio channels. Our comms operators are vital in supporting officers with their excellent work. A big thank you from my family tonight, you were all amazing."
