Market Drayton man denies rape, false imprisonment and assault

A Shropshire man has denied criminal charges of rape, false imprisonment and assault.

Andrew Llewellyn, 50, appeared at Shrewsbury Crown Court and pleaded not guilty to one count each of raping a woman, keeping her against her will, and assault causing actual bodily harm.

The charges all relate to the days between April 13 and April 16 of 2018.

Llewellyn, of Dalelands in Market Drayton, will stand trial in the new year, with a provisional date of April 26.
