Police appeal for witnesses after woman hit by vehicle

Police are appealing for information after a woman was seriously injured when she was hit by a vehicle.

The woman, who is 60, was hit by what police described as "a VW vehicle" on on the B4388, Leighton Road, between Forden and Buttington, at around 3.25pm on New Year's Eve.

She was airlifted to Stoke Hospital.

A spokesman for Dyfed Powys Police said: "At approximately 3.25pm on Thursday, December 31, 2020, a serious injury road traffic collision occurred on the B4388 Leighton Road, Powys, when a VW vehicle has collided with a pedestrian.

"The pedestrian, a 60-year-old woman, suffered a serious head injury and was airlifted to Stoke Hospital.
