Cyclist attacks woman after she asks him to slow down in Ironbridge

A woman was attacked by a cyclist in Ironbridge after she asked him to slow down.

Police are appealing for witnesses after the assault at 11.30am on Saturday, at The Lloyds.

A statement from West Mercia Police said: "The woman was pushed to the ground and punched by a cyclist after she requested he slow down and cycle with more consideration.

"The cyclist is described as a white male, approximately 60 years old with grey hair and a grey beard. He was wearing a black full cycle suit and riding a black bike with lime green brake cables.

"Anyone with information is asked to contact West Mercia Police online under the Tell Us About section of https://www.westmercia.police.uk using reference 00196/I of January 16, or alternatively information can be passed to Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
