Door smashed in police cannabis raid on Telford house
Dozens of cannabis plants were seized after police descended on a house on a Telford estate in a raid this morning.
Residents at Bishopdale, in the Brookside area, reported seeing several police vans parked on the estate at about 8.30am, when parents were walking their children to school.
One of the terraced houses there had its white front door smashed and its frame damaged.
By the early afternoon, there was no visible police presence outside the house, but workers from an energy company attended.
A statement from West Mercia Police said: "Officers from Telford Proactive criminal investigation and local policing priority teams carried out a drugs warrant at Bishopdale at around 7am this morning.
"A large cannabis grow was discovered and dozens of plants were seized from the property.
"No arrests have been made but enquiries are still ongoing."
