Stefan Mattox and Matthew Grant pleaded guilty to an offence of cultivating at a previous hearing at the town's magistrates court.

On Wednesday both defendants appeared before a judge in Shrewsbury to face a further offence of possession of cannabis with intent to supply on June 26, 2019. Both denied the allegation.

Judge Anthony Lowe told them that the Crown Prosecution Service was offering no evidence for possession and that matter would now be dropped.

He adjourned the cultivation matter for reports.

"Clearly the custody threshold has been crossed," the judge said.

Mattox, 31, of Burford, Brookside, and Grant, 29, of Station Road, Donnington, were granted bail until May 14 when they will be sentenced.

The case relates to the discovery of the Class B drugs at an address in Brookside.
