Appeal for witnesses to Shropshire A41 crash which killed motorcyclist, 53

Police are appealing for witnesses to a crash near Market Drayton in which a 53-year-old motorcyclist was killed.

The crash happened on the A41 in Rosehill, at around 3.41pm on Saturday, on the southbound route from Ternhill towards Hinstock.

It involved a silver Yamaha motorcycle, a silver Peugeot 206 and white VW Polo.

The motorcyclist died at the scene and police have now confirmed he was a 53-year-old man from the Stafford area.

The drivers of the two cars suffered minor injuries, with the driver of the Polo attending Royal Stoke Hospital as a precaution.

The A41 was closed between Tern Hill and Wistanswick throughout Saturday evening as collision investigators examined the crash site.

Firefighters from Market Drayton, Hodnet and Wellington were all sent to the scene.
