Telford murder probe: No-one charged as bail for five suspects is extended
No-one has yet been charged in relation to the suspected murder of a woman in Telford.
Police bail has been extended for five people who were arrested in connection with the death of Mollie Taylor.
The 28-year-old was found dead at a house, in Hill Road, Overdale, on March 23 following reports that she was attacked the previous evening.
Following the discovery of her body, three men aged, 34, 45 and 47 and two women aged 34 and 66 – all from the area – were arrested then released on bail for 28 days.
In an update, West Mercia Police today said : "The investigation is still ongoing and the bails have been extended."
Ms Taylor was thought to have been assaulted near the Premier Store, in Haybridge Road, Hadley, at about 10.30pm on March 22.
The attack was reported to the police, who said Ms Taylor left the scene with a friend.
Officers were then called to the house in Hill Road the next morning, where Ms Taylor was found dead.
The cause of her death has not yet been confirmed.
The incident was been referred to the Independent Office for Police Conduct due to the police's involvement in the period between the assault and Ms Taylor’s death.
