Man arrested over attack on Shrewsbury hotel
A man has been arrested by police investigating the smashing of windows at a hotel in Shrewsbury.
About 20 windows were smashed in the attack on the historic Lion Hotel on Thursday afternoon.
The Grade One listed building is being used to house asylum seekers.
A spokesperson from West Mercia police said: "A 33-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of criminal damage."
In December the hotel and surrounding properties were evacuated when a malicious bomb threat was made. A huge police operation took place to make sure that the threat was not genuine.
