Van driver charged with seriously injuring cyclist in New Year's Eve crash

A van driver has been charged with causing serious injury to a cyclist in a New Year's Eve crash.

Marek Grzezulkowski is accused of causing serious injury by dangerous driving on Fishmore Road, Ludlow, on the last day of 2021, when a Mercedes Sprinter van collided with a cyclist.

The cyclist sustained head and leg injuries during the incident, which required hospital treatment.

The 42-year-old, of Canterbury Leys in Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire, is due to appear before Telford Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
