Driver who defied low pollution speed limit avoids ban due to impact on family and business
A driver who sped through a reduced speed limit designed to cut pollution levels has narrowly avoided a ban.
Wrexham Maelor Magistrates Court heard how John Williams, 60, was at the wheel of a Land Rover when he charged through the 50mph zone on the A483 by the Welsh city at 76mph on May 23 last year.
After he admitted speeding in December, Williams, from Montford Bridge near Shrewsbury, was sentenced on May 19.
