Oswestry woman who threw lumps of wood at police station cars is fined
An Oswestry woman caused more than £1,300 worth of damage to a police officer's private car by throwing lumps of wood at it in a police station car park.
Zoe Roberts, aged 33, of Orchard Street, was fined £40 and given a 12-month community order, including having to attend sessions for alcohol treatment after admitting to a charge of criminal damage to property valued under £5,000 when she appeared at Telford Magistrates Court heard on Wednesday.
The court was told Roberts damaged a Skoda Octavia to the value of £1,317 by throwing lumps of wood at it on May 21 this year at Oswestry Police Station.
Prosecutor Mrs Kate Price said the incident was caught on CCTV as she threw pieces of wood at private vehicles at the police station.
