Edwards was jailed at Shrewsbury Crown Court

Andrew Edwards, 41, of Rushbury Road, Wall Under Heywood, Church Stretton, pleaded guilty on Wednesday to one count of breaching a sexual harm prevention order (SHPO).

Tim Sapwell, prosecuting, told Shrewsbury Crown Court that Edwards was convicted of sexual activity with a child, and possessing indecent images of children in 2016, and was jailed for five years.

As part of the punishment he was made subject of the SHPO.

One of the conditions of the order meant that Edwards was only allowed to possess devices which can connect to the internet if he provided them to police for inspection on demand.

The order also prevents Edwards from deleting his internet history.

Mr Sapwell said that in 2020 Edwards's offender manager had received information that he had a second "undisclosed" mobile phone.
