Devey was caught more than three times the legal limit on two occasions this year

Catherine Devey, of Burnside, was first caught three times over the drink drive limit on March 17 this year on Madeley Road while she was driving a Ford Focus.

The 49-year-old was charged after she was found to have 121 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath - the legal limit is just 35 microgrammes.

While awaiting a court appearance for the first offence, Devey was caught at more than four times the legal limit on July 23 when she was stopped in a red Citreon C1 in Parkway, Telford.

On that occasion West Mercia Police said she was found to have a "massive" 148 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath.

At Telford Magistrates on Thursday Devey was found guilty of both offences and given a 12-week suspended prison sentence and was disqualified for driving for 36 months. She was also ordered to undertake an alcohol treatment programme.

Following her conviction West Mercia Police tweeted that it was "another danger off the road".
