Police investigating Shrewsbury murder find 'items of interest' at town's Old River Bed
Police have confirmed that they have found "a number of items of interest" in a continuing murder investigation.
This morning officers taped off a large part of the Old River Bed, in Hubert Way, Shrewsbury, and posted officers to guard the scene.
Police had also been seen at a lay-by on the Ellesmere Road in the town on Thursday evening. One car was seen blocking an entry to the lay-by near the junction with Mount Pleasant Road and another inside the lay-by with two officers standing guard at about 6pm.
A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said a number of items were found which are of interest to the murder inquiry.
