Man denies assaulting and racially abusing police officers called to altercation
A man is to appear before magistrates in two trials having denied assaulting and racially harassing three police officers after they were called following an alleged assault on his former girlfriend.
Telford Magistrates Court heard on Tuesday that Andre Daniel Powell, 28, of Westbury Avenue, Wednesbury, is accused of being involved in a domestic altercation with his partner in Telford on August 1 this year, before assaulting police that attended.
Powell denies three charges of common assault against an emergency worker, an assault against his former girlfriend, two charges of theft also committed against his former partner, two charges of racially aggravated harassment and the possession of a flick knife.
