'Suspicious male' visiting homes in Wem - police issue alert
Police have put a community on alert over a 'suspicious' man who has been visiting homes in north Shropshire.
Officers say there have been a a number of similar incidents reported in the Wem area of a man who asks for some form of 'help', or even money.
PCSO Jamie Robinson of the policing team in Wem, said: "These instances have often followed the same 'story' with the male stating he has broken down or had a funny turn."
The officer said that similar instances were reported in August.
PCSO Robinson said: "Recently there have been a number of similar incidents reported to local West Mercia officers both officially and by word of mouth, regarding a suspicious male who attends home addresses in residential areas of Wem asking for some form of 'help', or even money."
