Perry Marsh was handed a seven-and-a-half year immediate jail sentence with an extended licence period of three years when he appeared at Shrewsbury Crown Court on Thursday.

Marsh, 33, of Avon Road, Kidderminster, had denied raping a woman in Telford in August 2021 but was found guilty after a trial.

Judge Peter Barrie told Marsh he was treating him as a dangerous offender.
