Boy, 12, who took 11-inch knife to school threatened to stab staff unless he saw his friends
A 12 year-old boy took a knife with a 11.5cm blade to a high school and threatened to stab staff unless he could see his friends.
The boy, who can’t be named for legal reasons, climbed over a gate to get on the site before making his way to the door of a classroom.
As he encountered staff members he told them he wanted to see his friends, that he had been ‘isolated’ for too long, and if they would not let him see his friends, he would stab them. Children in some classes witnessed the incident.
The youngster had been stopped from playing games on a computer at home so stormed out of the house with a knife he had seen on the kitchen side before deciding to go and see his friends in school.
He appeared at Welshpool Magistrates Court where he admitted possession of a bladed article on March 3 and five offences of using threatening behaviour on the same date.
