A518 is closed between the Church Aston roundabout and the Chetwynd Aston Roundabout.
An A-road near Newport was closed on Tuesday morning amid reports of a collision.
The A518 closed at around 8am on Tuesday (June 2) between the Church Aston roundabout and the Chetwynd Aston Roundabout (locally referred to as Sheep Island).
Reports on social media suggested the closure was a result of a lorry shedding its load.
Live traffic data shows long delays around the area as traffic navigates through Newport to avoid the incident.
Emergency services have been approached for more information.
