It comes as campaigners in Lydbury North, near Bishop's Castle, have adopted a new slogan and are planning a series of activities to launch their campaign to save the village's primary school.
The Lydbury North School Fighting Group met for the first time last night and have adopted the slogan "Lydbury Forever".
Under proposals by Shropshire Council, eight primary schools are earmarked for closure in the summer of 2012 with the Wakeman secondary in Shrewsbury due to close in July 2013.
Lisa Gray, a parent at Stiperstones, said today the walk up the tor and poster-making had gone "really well".
"We had a good turnout, everybody has enjoyed themselves. We have all been making posters, we are busy laminating them. Everybody is going to be putting them in their car windows and houses. We have also had banners printed."
