Shropshire schools close as rain hits county
Two Shropshire schools were this afternoon closing as heavy rain lashed the county.

Coalbrookdale School in the Ironbridge Gorge closed on the advice of fire officers due to rapidly rising water in the area.
Meanwhile, Pontesbury Primary School was also closed as a precaution as floodwaters rose in the village.
Shropshire Council also announced that Rushbury CE, Hadnall CE and Brockton primaries would be closing this afternoon due to floods.
Stottesdon CE Primary closed earlier this morning.
Norbury Primary School will be closing at 2.00pm
