To celebrate this milestone, the school is holding a series of events, culminating in a formal celebration on Saturday, May 18 with a ceremony, school fete and exhibition of photos and artefacts from the last 80 years. The Right Honourable David Wright, MP for Telford, who is an ex-pupil of the school has agreed to come and open the proceedings and cut the cake and there will be opportunities for guided tours around the school for ex-students as well as all the usual attractions and entertainment.

The day starts at 1pm with a formal ceremony and continues with the fete and exhibition from 1.30 – 4.30pm.

Wrockwardine Wood's students have also created a website to capture the essence of the past eight decades and the journey of the students and staff that made this building such an incredible place, with an interactive timeline, photo archive and the opportunity for ex-students to add their memories, just log in at www.wrockwardinewoodartsacademy.com/80years

Anyone wishing to have a stall at the fete, please contact the school office and leave your name and contact details.

The school hope to welcome past pupils on Saturday, May 18.
