Meole Brace School lodges plans to expand car park
A secondary school in Shrewsbury has submitted plans for a major expansion of its car park.
The proposals would see more than 130 new parking spaces created at Meole Brace School on Longden Road.
The plans would also see the entrance to the school's upper car park widened to allow two-way traffic.
A design and access statement in support of the scheme said the proposals would improve traffic flow at busy times.
It said: "The existing approach to the upper car park is a single car width which causes serious congestion at the start and end of the school day.
"The proposal will not increase the volume of vehicles but the traffic flow, to and from, will be greatly improved."
