Newport Junior School closed over electricity problems
Pupils at a school in Newport were sent home early today following problems with its electricity and hot water.

Parents were called to collect their children from Newport Junior School, in Avenue Road, shortly after 11am.
The school has about 240 pupils.
There was some confusion after Telford & Wrekin Council tweeted that Newport Infant School had closed, but the message was swiftly removed.
The infant school was not affected and remained open.
