Shropshire school proms under way - send us your photos
Exams are coming to an end, the sun is shining and the world is waiting for thousands of students ending their school or college life.
In the meantime, it is a time to party as a celebration of targets achieved, friends made and valuable memories formed.
The school prom season has begun, and the Shropshire Star is after your pictures to form our Class of 2014 picture gallery.
We want your photographs to add to our Star Witness online collection and the best pictures will be published in the Shropshire Star itself.
Send your photos to us using the upload box below - and remember to tell us your school name and who's in the photos.
One of the first proms to be held this season was in Whitchurch, when frocks, suits and tuxedos were designed to make an impact.
More than 60 Year 11 students from Sir John Talbot's school had an end of year leaving prom at Hawkstone Park Hotel, Whitchurch, on Friday (June 20), and it was a chance for them to finally let their hair down after a hard year of work culminating in a recent intense exam period.
Students arrived in various modes of transport and enjoyed a red carpet welcome.
Hayley Burton, the school headteacher's PA, and prom organiser, said: "A fantastic evening was enjoyed by staff and students attending this year's prom.
"Everyone looked fantastic in their suits and dresses and they all looked very grown up and very sophisticated.
"Their behaviour was exemplary and everyone really enjoyed themselves.
"A lot of them will move on next year and it is great for the to get together one last time to celebrate what is an end of an era for this year group."
Pupils sat down to a three course meal followed by dancing to Richard Ward's disco, who donated his services for free.
Photographs on the evening were taken by sixth form student, Rebecca Stokes.
The event was organised by Mrs Burton and Sarah Downward, the school's data and exams officer.
Mrs Burton added: "We would like to wish the students all the very best with their exam results in August and for the future."
The school will be holding a ball for its sixth formers on July 4, one of hundreds of celebrations planned for students across Shropshire and Mid Wales.
The prom craze, taken from America, is worth millions of pounds to the hotel industry in the UK, as well as a boost to dress shops, hair stylists and beauty parlours.
