Roger Birtwhistle filmed the progress of the school from the laying of the foundations in 2014 up to its reopening in September last year.

He was recently invited to visit the school where he completed his filming with some interior shots.

He later presented his finished film to headmistress Stacey Jordan.

She said: "We will be forever grateful to Roger for documenting the creation of our wonderful school building.

"We were thrilled to receive such a gift and are proud to be able to share this historic footage with parents, students, and the wider community."

The film is now being shown on screens around the school and in reception and can be viewed on the school's Youtube channel.

Telford Priory School, which cost £16 million, was built next to Oakengates Leisure Centre and replaced the former Wrockwardine Wood Arts Academy and Sutherland Co-operative Academy.

The two schools closed in July after they were put into special measures, with the pupils of the two former schools making up the current cohort of 1,200 students at the school.

Miss Jordan is the former assistant principal at Sutherland.
