Newport school reopens after water mains problems
A Newport school reopened today after it was forced to close due to problems with nearby water mains.
Burton Borough, in Audley Avenue, closed its doors yesterday and cancelled an open day with Year 6 students after staff found that the school had no water.
Newport safer neighbourhood team tweeted yesterday afternoon saying the school would reopen today, but asked drivers to avoid Audley Avenue due to road works.
The school tweeted saying drivers should avoid the road because of a "big hole".
