Deadline for dyslexia awards
Organisers of the Shropshire Dyslexia Awards are urging people to nominate inspirational individuals before the deadline closes on Friday.
The event celebrates both those who have overcome dyslexia to achieve great things, and those who offer help and support to those who live with the condition.
This year's categories include Educator of The Year, for those who work in the teaching or training of dyslexics, and the Shining Star awards for dyslexics who help or inspire others.
There are also awards for art, entrepreneurship and innovation, as well as for supportive employers.
The winners will be announced in a ceremony at the Enginuity Museum in Coalbrookdale on November 25.
Nominations can be made on the website www.theddc.org.uk/dyslexiaawards/ before the deadline at midnight Friday.
It is the second year the awards have been held.
Founder Eli Wilkinson said the evening included a two-course dinner.
"The evening is set to be another wonderful and positive success, we are expecting 160 people to attend," she said.
