Shropshire and Mid Wales schools shut after weekend snow
A number of Shropshire and and Mid Wales schools were shut today after the weekend's snow and ice.
It comes as drivers were warned to take care on icy roads, with temperatures hovering below freezing and the Met Office issuing a yellow warning for ice from 7pm tonight until 9am on Tuesday.
It said ice is likely to form where untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths are left wet after snow melts during the day, or partly melted snow refreezes, and where wintry showers occur overnight.
In Shropshire today, Newcastle Primary School, St George's Primary School in Clun, Farlow CE Primary School and Bishops Castle Community College were shut.
In Powys about 40 school were closed but at 8am no schools in Telford & Wrekin were reported to be shut. See below for the full list of Powys school closures.

Through the day temperatures are set to recover slightly, with plenty of sunshine and light winds it will feel noticeably less cold, with a maximum temperature of 4°C.

It will turn cloudier through Monday evening with perhaps an odd wintry shower over the hills. A widespread frost is forecast overnight as clear spells return, with a minimum temperature of -5°C.
Another fine day is expected on Tuesday after a frosty start. There will be plenty of sunshine but it still be rather chilly, with the possibility of one or two light showers in the afternoon. The maximum temperature will be 7°C.
