Bryn Melyn Care, based in Telford, needs dozens of new staff to work at its new sites in south Shropshire and near Oswestry.

Overton School will be opening near Ludlow and offer 15 residential places as well as day places for autistic children.

Meanwhile The Derwen School will open in the grounds of Derwen College, a residential further education college for young people with learning difficulties and disabilities in Gobowen.

Headteachers have already been recruited for both schools and the company is now planning recruitment events in Ludlow and Gobowen, HR manager Sherrie Kelly said.

Bryn Melyn, which has its head office in Hadley Park East in Telford, recently opened a home near Shrewsbury and has plans to open another in Telford this summer. It also runs independent special school Smallbrook School in Harmer Hill and has sites in north Wales.

The company offers residential care, education, clinical treatment and therapy for people aged 10-18 with multiple and complex needs.

CEO Bob Yetzes said: “These are exciting times for Bryn Melyn Care as we open new services to meet the needs of local children and further afield.

“Bryn Melyn Care is a success story for the region and we are delighted to be making this positive contribution to the local economy, as well as to the children and young people in our care.”
