Staff at Wrockwardine Wood CE Junior School, Telford, made a parody lock down music video

Teachers, teaching assistants, the caretaker and even the cook at Wrockwardine Wood CE Junior School in Trench star in the humorous video of themselves passing a roll of toilet paper to one another – through the power of editing.

They have also changed the lyrics to Erasure's Stop! to encourage people to stay at home and it sends the message that they will be together again after the lockdown is lifted.

Cara Leck, year three teacher at the school, came up with the idea.

She said: "I had seen other things on Facebook of people throwing a toilet roll or ball and I put it out to the staff that we do something similar.

Watch the video:

"The children are missing us. It's nice for them to see us.

"We changed the words to fit in with this crisis at the moment.

"Some members of staff volunteered to do the singing.

More Covid-19 coverage:

"We had teachers, teaching assistants, the caretaker and cook all involved in the video.

"That's really representative of our school. We are a team."

The video, which was edited together by the husband of one of the teachers, has been posted on the school's Facebook page and there have been a number of comments from parents.

Cara said: "They have been saying how much the children have loved it. They have been really pleased to see the teachers.

"We are still keeping in contact through Dojo – we've been putting challenges out for the children.

"The video was just a bit of fun and to keep everyone happy."
