Woore Primary & Nursery School of Woore, near Market Drayton, is taking part in Your School Lottery, an online scheme to raise money for schools to buy educational resources.

Parents and supporters can buy tickets for £1 each, with a draw every Saturday. There is a guaranteed cash winner for each school and a chance to win a jackpot. For every ticket bought, three quarters of the proceeds go to schools and prizes.

Woore is taking part thanks to Friends of Woore School, the group that normally hosts events year-round to raise money for the school, including a popular fete. The pandemic has meant these events that would normally fund new resources and experiences have been put on hold.
