Pupils net session with superleague player Nia
Superleague netball star Nia Jones gave a group of Oswestry pupils a live, online training session.
With the students joining in from their homes the Gloucester/Worcester based, Severn Stars netballer, Nia Jones, put them through their paces.
Originally from Wrexham, Nia said she knew Oswestry well.
After the training session which included ball skills and a fitness challenge Nia took part in a question and answer session giving helpful insights and tips into the world of netball.
Assistant Director of Sport, Sofie Suckley, said, “It was an inspiring experience for everyone who participated and a delight to have over 40 girls from years five - 13 attend the session.
" It’s difficult to keep motivated throughout this second lockdown, but Nia really helped to motivate the girls to keep their training up.”
