The fee-paying Castle House School in Newport is welcoming current and prospective families to its open event on June 12.

Subject to Covid rules, the provisional itinerary includes an address by headteacher Ian Sterling, a tour with presentations and afternoon tea on the school lawn.

A statement said: "The headteacher, staff and governors of Castle House School would like to formally invite all current and prospective new parents to our Grand Summer Open Day to be held on Saturday, June 12, 2021 (subject to the lifting of restrictions and further guidance on public events).

"We very much look forward to being able to reopen our school to allow the children to celebrate their achievements and parents, new and current, to be able to see first-hand our stunning little corner of Newport."
