Price hike at private Shropshire boarding school put costs at over £50,000 a year
One of Shropshire's most prestigious private schools has increased its fee to over £50,000 a year.
Boarding fees for the 2023/24 academic year at Concord College in Acton Burnell are now £17,800 per term - or £53,400 per year.
The price has increased by £4.500 from the previous year, when boarders were charged £16,300 per term or £48,900 per year.
The 9.2 per cent increase puts Concord as one of the schools with the sharpest increase in prices, and it is now among the most expensive boarding schools in the country.
