The centre, at Shrewsbury Prepatoria, was praised for its challenging and exciting curriculum and high standards.

The care and attention of the staff towards the children was also recognised and the 'exceptional' behaviour of the children impressed the Ofsted inspectors who visited the centre earlier this month.

The Prepatoria itself was rated as outstanding on a previous visit earlier this year.

Jane Smalley, founder and principal, said: "To have the whole of The Prepatoria now recognised as outstanding is something I’m personally very proud of, but it’s something that can only be achieved with a dedicated and focused team in place.

“Whilst it is slightly nerve wracking to welcome Ofsted on two separate occasions, we all did so with confidence that our unique and passionate approach to teaching benefits each one of the children here.

“Not only do we witness the fruits of our approach in the behaviour and achievements of those children every day, but the interactions we have with parents corroborates that approach."

It was announced recently that the school, which was founded in 2013, would be expanding and launching an independent school to take older children in to reception and Year One.

As part of Shrewsbury Prepatoria’s Independent School plans, Ms Smalley has developed a brand new curriculum which is currently being scrutinised by Ofsted.
