Lakelands welcomes visitors interested in finding out more about the academy at any time.

It also offers students who are currently in their last year at primary school the opportunity to spend a full day there to experience for themselves its outstanding lessons, fantastic facilities and exciting activities.

Every year, the academy asks its Year 6 visitors for feedback. Below are some of the comments from students who spent the day with Lakelands last year and are now in Year 7:

"I had a great day and liked the food and everyone was so friendly."

"The day was so much fun. I learned a lot and will definitely be coming to Lakelands next year."

"We soon found our way around and all the older children were so helpful."

"The teachers were very friendly and helped us feel at home."

Alongside its inclusive curriculum, the partnership that exists between parents and staff at Lakelands is something very special and a contributory factor to the success students achieve. Overwhelmingly supportive of the academy, parents and the community agree with Ofsted which recognises that 'behaviour is outstanding' and praises its caring environment where 'students are welcoming, feel safe and look after one another'.

Lakelands would always advise parents to find out as much as possible about their educational choices to ensure they have all the information they need to make the right decision for their son/daughter. Please feel free to call on 01691 622543 or email us at admin@lakelandsacademy.org.uk
