Shropshire schools combine for a bright future
It is very fitting that as spring arrives with new life and all its possibilities, that the AddMore federation begins.
Moreton Say and Adderley CofE Primary Schools began working together in January 2015.
They have recently formalised this arrangement by federating their governing bodies, a move which has enabled them to look to the future with excitement, positivity and security.
'Together we Add More' is the phrase that underpins how Adderley and Moreton Say Schools see their partnership. Both schools may be small, but have big hearts and Christian values to ground them.
Adderley and Moreton Say not only share the headteacher and newly-appointed governing body, but also a commitment to do the very best for the children in their care.
Already this year, the reception children from Moreton Say have been able to make use of Adderley's forest school site, whilst children from Adderley have joined Years 5 and 6 in their learning at Moreton Say.
There is a buzz of excitement in both schools as the children anticipate future work together.
The teachers collaboratively plan fun and challenging opportunities for learning and share expertise.
Coordinator roles are split across the schools for example, the newly qualified SEN coordinator has supported provision in the two schools so that all children are well placed to succeed.
Visits to the schools are welcomed. Do phone the administrators on 01630 653829 at Adderley or 01630 638465 at Moreton Say.
