Shropshire school proms 2017: Nancy rides to the ball in style
Shrewsbury student Nancy Thompson strolled into her school’s prom in style on horseback.
Nancy and her pony Kitty turned heads among friends at The Priory School.
The 16-year-old said her sister did the same with a different pony six years ago which gave her the idea for this year’s event at Albrighton Hall
Nancy said: “My sister Martha did it six years ago on a different horse.
“We have three ponies, but Kitty is mine. I rode her from the bottom of the lane to the hall.
“Everyone turned around when I arrived and said I looked like a princess, which was really nice.
"Everyone loved Kitty and people were walking up to her and stroking her.”
