Traffic misery as lorry overturns on A49 at Bayston Hill

Part of the A49 was closed this morning after a lorry overturned. The accident happened at around 6.15am on the northbound carriageway of A49 between Bayston Hill and Dorrington.
Police and the fire service attended the crash as part of a clean-up operation as the lorry leaked its load of diesel on the road.

Nick Davies, incident commander at Shropshire Fire Station, said: "The driver appeared to be fine when we arrived and we assisted the police in cleaning up the spillage."
