100 homes evacuated in Telford explosives scare

Around 100 homes in an area of Telford were evacuated today following the discovery of suspected explosive materials at a property.

Police made the discovery while conducting a search warrant at a house in Leonard Close, Donnington, this morning.

A number of firearms were also found at the property.

Explosives experts are currently at the property and a cordon has been established to protect the public.

As a precautionary measure, around 100 homes in the immediate vicinity of the property have been evacuated.
